Cilicia, Colonia Julia, Octavian as Augustus, 27 BC – 14 AD, Ae 23 mm. 12.4 gm. Obv: PRINCEPS FELIX, Bare head r. Rev: COLONIA IVLIA IIVR. Minerva standing l., holding crowning Victory. RPC I 4082. Very Rare. Colonia Julia was likely established early in the reign of Octavian to settle the many veterans from the legions. This colonia has been ascribed to Ninicia-Claudiopolis but may actually be the original settlement of Augusta.
