Cilicia. Selinos. Trajan Decius AD 249-251. Bronze Æ 27 mm. 10.4 gm. Obverse: ΑΥΤ ΚΑΙ ΜƐϹ ΚΥ ΤΡΑ ΔƐΚΙΟϹ ϹƐΒ; laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Decius, r., seen from rear. Rev: ΤΡΑΙΑΝ ϹƐΛΙΝΟ ΤΗϹ ΙƐΡΑ, ΘƐΟΥ ΤΡΑΙ; temple with four columns enclosing statue of Trajan, shown as Zeus, holding thunderbolt and sceptre. Very Rare. Trajan died in Selinos, on his return journey back to Rome.  The people of this city erected a temple in his honour, the foundation of which remains to this day.
