Thrace, Hadrianopolis. Commodus, 177-192 AD. AE 17 mm. 2.6 gm. Obv: ΑV Κ Λ ΑV ΚΟΜΟΔΟϹ, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev: ΑΔΡΙΑΝΟΠΟΛƐΙΤΩΝ. Apollo advancing right, drawing arrow from quiver at shoulder, and holding bow. Ref: RPC IV.1, 10694 (temporary) (1 specimen). This is the second and finest known example.
